About Me

I am a Clinically Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Kansas. At my practice I work with a variety of issues including couples/marital issues, infidelity, anxiety, depression, family therapy, eating disorders, identity issues, self worth issues, self-injury and more. Previously, I worked at an outpatient counseling center for four years, where I specialized in eating disorder treatment including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, emotional eating, and related disorders. I am certified in PREPARE/ENRICH to conduct marital and premarital assessments. Other therapeutic work experience involves working with registered male sex offender and violent offender clients in the state of Kansas, who had recently been released from prison. I also worked at a low-cost therapy clinic working with individuals, couples, and families. Before I decided to pursue Marriage and Family Therapy, I worked in youth ministry and was a piano and voice teacher.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Services and a Master of Science in Family Therapy.  I am a member in good standing of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the National Eating Disorders Association.  I attended the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation Symposium in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 along with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Conference in 2007 and 2009.
